Outside of her professional role, Sophie is a multi-award-winning Chinese calligrapher and serves as the Vice Chairperson of her regional Chinese Traditional Calligraphy Society. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, gym workouts, and playing basketball, demonstrating her well-rounded passion for both professional and personal development.

Sophie’s combination of technical expertise, leadership, and dedication to continuous growth makes her an indispensable asset to the JMS team.

When Sophie is not working, she loves travelling, singing, and going to the gym. A one hour workout every day keeps her in good physical and mental shape, yet she has a real passion for Chinese Calligraphy. She practices it twice a week with a big brush and black ink on the traditional bamboo or Xuan paper. One year, Sophie came first in a competition out of 900 works from 30 different Chinese provinces. As a result, they elected her as Vice Chairperson of the Chinese Calligraphy Society in 2007. In China, calligraphy holds a distinguished position in the field of traditional art. It is not only seen as a means of communication, but a way of expressing your inner world in a very aesthetic sense. They say calligraphy is like a mirror, a silent reflection of the soul.
