With over 11 years of experience in the yachting industry, Tom has progressed from deckhand to Captain, serving on a number of distinguished yachts along the way. His journey has equipped him with a deep well of practical knowledge and seafaring expertise. Most recently, he captained MY North Star, where he proved himself to be a highly skilled leader, known not only for his technical ability but also for his good humour and approachable nature. Colleagues consistently describe him as a pleasure to work with.

Tom is an avid cyclist who relishes a good challenge, the steeper the climb, the better. He much prefers the ascent to the descent, and Mallorca’s breathtaking terrain offers the perfect backdrop, with countless scenic routes and inviting tapas stops along the way. Sailing has been part of Tom’s life for as long as he can remember. Introduced to it by his father, he spent his early years cruising on a small family yacht in Holland, where his passion for the sea first took hold. He also enjoys hiking and the peace that comes with being far from the bustle of everyday life. Ending a long day outdoors by lighting a BBQ is, in his view, one of life’s simple pleasures.
