Damian Sharp is a highly experienced Yacht Manager at JMS with over 25 years of operational and technical leadership in the maritime industry. He has served as Captain, Build Captain, Technical Manager, and Yacht Manager across a wide range of vessels from 20 metres (66 feet) to 60 metres (197 feet) , with deep expertise in both new build supervision and complex refit projects. His career highlights include managing fleets for other management companies, where he oversaw technical operations, class and flag compliance, shipyard coordination, and refit logistics across Europe.
With a foundation in hospitality (OND in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management from Buxton College of Further Education), Damian brings a client-focused approach to yacht management. His technical command and strong communication with owners, shipyards, and regulatory bodies ensure vessels under his care meet the highest operational and safety standards.
After a sabbatical from yachting during which he returned to the UK for family commitments, Damian has re-entered the industry with renewed focus. Backed by decades of experience and a robust technical skill set, he now applies his deep knowledge and leadership to every project and vessel under his management at JMS.
