Born in Athens, Dimitris developed a fascination with engineering from an early age. At 18, he began his professional journey working as a concrete plant operator and sourcing assistant, laying the groundwork for what would become a multifaceted and entrepreneurial career.
Over the course of two decades, Dimitris successfully expanded a small family business into new industrial niche markets, ultimately transforming it into a vertically integrated company. His leadership extended well beyond operations, he was deeply involved in CRM implementation, developing customer retention strategies, and driving new client acquisition. In addition to overseeing finance, project management, and internal audits, he also served as a Safety and Health Engineer, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across operations.
With a strong belief in the foundational role of accounting in business success, Dimitris actively sought opportunities to deepen his involvement in financial oversight and reporting. This passion has now brought him to JMS, where he is excited to contribute to the accounting and financial administration functions. He is proud to be part of the JMS Accounts Team, supporting best practices and striving for operational excellence.
Outside of work, Dimitris enjoys spending quality time with his family, especially walking through the scenic trails of the Great Wood in Stanmer Park. Exploring the forest paths and visiting the charming village of Stanmer. With its church and traditional tea rooms, it is one of his favourite ways to reconnect with nature. He also finds joy in music, often gathering friends on Saturday nights for impromptu singalongs around the piano. In the summer months, he takes advantage of sunny days by swimming short distances in the refreshing sea waters of Rottingdean, an activity that brings him a profound sense of wellbeing and happiness.
